Mad Science After School Club- Optical Illusion
The Science after-school club got off to an exciting start as the young scientists dove into optics, reflection, and sight! They had a blast learning about light and vision, even using mirrors to draw pictures and understand how things reflect.
Year 5&6 Cricket Club
Today, Year 5&6 started the new cricket after school club. The children worked hard on bowling and batting skills to ensure they have the appropriate technique. They then applied this into a game scenario working hard on the tactical elements of the game.
Mad Science After-School Club- Magnetic Magic
Our future scientists had a blast using paper clips, strings, and a magnetic board for hands-on exploration. They immersed themselves in the world of magnets, conducting experiments and discovering the fascinating properties of magnetism in a fun and engaging way.
Palm Sunday Service
A huge well done to our choir for singing beautifully during our Palm Sunday Service. Congratulations to Oscar and Tristan for showing lots of courage when being thrown in the deep end with their solos. We are so proud of you! Thank you to Rev Ben for inviting us, it was such a lovely service.
Well-being Club
For our final session, we walked to Jack Keys and enjoyed a nature walk! It was lots of fun and it was lovely to enjoy the outdoors with everyone.
Running Club
Running club continued for the KS2 children. The children have been building their stamina and technique for long distance running. Many children have beaten their original times and are making lots of progress.
Mad Science After-School Club- Optical Illusion
Our after-school club began with a thrilling start, as the future Scientists embarked on an exhilarating journey into optics, reflection, and sight! With a cool gadget called a camera obscura, they watched as pictures changed right before their eyes. They had a blast learning about light and vision.
Well-being Club
This week the children worked together to make playdough. They decided to colour the playdough purple and used a variety of different coloured glitters. The children decided on an orange scent for their playdough. They enjoyed playing with it after and made tacos, wraps, houses, pizzas and lots of other creative objects!
Running Club
Another amazing session of running club got underway this week. All the children showed incredible determination and resilience during running club to improve on their times from last week; in preparation for the cross country event.
Mad Science After- School Club-Watts-Up!
The future Scientists had a blast this afternoon: They learned about static electricity, exploring its properties and involvement in natural phenomena. They also created indoor lightning and conducted hair-raising experiments with an electrostatic generator.
Forest School Club
In forest school club we have been making stick people. The children found the sticks they wanted to use and thought about how they wanted their stick people to look. We learned how to do a square lashing to hold the sticks together. When we finished our stick people the children chose to have a game of stick in the mud.
