Year 3- What can we find out about Ancient Egypt?
Year 3 used different resources to find facts about Ancient Egypt and copy their most interesting ones in their books.
Year 3- Applying geometrical shapes when drawing.
Year 3 have carefully sketched an image of a Diet Coke can, thinking about how hard to press on the page with their pencil, noticing shading and also applying geometrical shapes to their pictures. Great work Year 3!

Year 5- P.E- Move and Learn
This term, the children in Year 5 will have a series of P.E lessons delivered by Blackburn Rovers. Consisting of a series of classroom and physical education sessions, plus home-based family challenges, children learn about the importance of physical activity and how to eat a balanced diet and lead an active lifestyle. This afternoon, we learnt about how physical activity can effect the body and mind.
Year 6 computing
Year 6 have been learning about the second form of remixing by doing genre changing. They have been remixing a vocal stem and changing the genre.
Year 1- Busy bees
Year 1 have really settled into their new school routine. We are so proud of them!
Year 3 RE: Harvest
In RE, our topic this term in Year 3 focuses on the festival of Harvest. This week, we started by thinking about some key questions, such as ‘Why do we celebrate Harvest?’ and ‘Who are we actually giving thanks for?’. Following on from this, we then looked at how Harvest is explored and mentioned in The Bible.
Reception Kandinsky Circles
Today Reception looked at the work of Wassily Kandinsky. We talked about his job as an Artist and the tools he might need for his work. We looked at his famous painting of circles and talked about the colours he used and how we felt about the painting. Then we had a go at painting our own circles using bright colours in the painting area.
Year 1- Counting in french.
Year 1 have been trying really hard in french this week. They have learnt numbers 1-6 in french.
Year 4 - RE: Jesus the Son of God
In RE this week, Year 4 investigated stories from the Bible to find out how they show Jesus was the Son of God. They then presented their findings to their peers.
Year 4 French - Comment Ça Va?
In French, Year 4 were learning how to ask someone how they are and how to respond. I wonder which phrase they liked saying the most.
