Amazing Awards in Celebration Worship
We celebrated our sports and reading stars this week in ourn Celebration Worship. We had awards for a number of out of school sports such as rugby, highland games, swimming, dancing and horse riding. It was lovely to see so many children pushing themselves out of their comfort zone to achieve great things and encourage others. What little superstars! We also had our amazing attendance winners for the week and they were Year 1 and Year 4!
HM Queen Elizabeth II - Year 5
Year 5 have paid their respects to Queen Elizabeth II by placing their handwritten prayers on the school fence which we have turned into a prayer space. We have spent time in class and worship learning about all the wonderful things that she has done for us. She will be forever in our hearts and missed by all.
Year 3 English - Using Dictionaries
Year 3 have started their new unit in English and have been busy working with a partner to find specific words using a dictionary and writing the meanings they find. Remembering those important capital letters and full stops when copying a sentence.
Year 3 Art- Formal Elements of Art
Year 3 have been enjoying Art this week, focusing on simple shapes and practicing their sketching skills.
Year 1- Lost and found
This week year 1 have been a bunch of of superstars! We have looked at the story lost and found. In English we have acted out the story and identified the main characters.

In R.E, Year 6 discussed what a journey is and whether they consider life to be a journey.
Year 4 - Prayers for Her Majesty
Today in Year 4, we tied our prayers that we had written to remember the Queen to the front of school to create a remembrance wall. We thanked God for everything she has done for us and how very special she was.
Year 4 Geography - The Amazon
We have started our new geography topic today in Year 4. We will focus on the Amazon, looking at the Amazon Basin and surrounding rainforest. In today’s lesson we identified South America using atlases and globes. We then moved into identifying the countries within South America and where the Amazon river runs.

Reception Library Trip
Today Reception have had a visit to our school library. We talked about the library rules, including how it is important to be quiet and calm and to treat our books with care and look after them. In groups, we read a story together and they were amazing and listening and engaging.
