Choir singing at Darwen Market

Thank you Darwen Market for inviting our choir to sing today! We had a wonderful time spreading festive cheer on the way through waving to cars and wishing everyone that we met a merry Christmas! It was brilliant to bring some Christmas joy to our community and thank you so much to the parents and grandparents who came along to support the children!

KS1 Christmas Cracker

We are absolutely bursting with pride today following the Year 1 and 2 "Christmas Cracker" concert! The children gave a truly spectacular performance. It was wonderful to see them shining on stage, singing their hearts out, and remembering all their lines and moves with such confidence. They have worked incredibly hard over the last few weeks, and today, that hard work really paid off. A huge congratulations to every single one of them for bringing so much festive joy to our school. We would also like to say a massive thank you to you, our parents and families. Whether you helped with costumes, practiced lines at home, or simply came along today to offer your applause and cheers, your support makes all the difference. It was lovely to see so many of you in the audience. Finally, a special vote of thanks goes to our fantastic staff team! To Miss Woods, thank you so much for writing such a wonderful script and for taking on the role of musical director, to Mr Carter aka DJ Carter for organising and playing the music, to Mrs Hegarty, Miss Lyons and Miss Woods for your support with costumes, props and encouraging the children with the actions and to Mr Bloomfield for filming the concerts. We hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did! Singing at Acer Lodge Care Home

We are so proud of the 8 children, who were selected based on their effort in Monday's singing worship, who sang at Acer Lodge Care Home on Wednesday. They brought lots of festive cheer to the residents and it was wonderful to see them joining in with the bells we gave out. The children were over the moon to get a surprise visit from Santa himself, who thanked the children by giving them each a selection box. Rosie gave some letters written by herself and her Year 4 class to the residents to introduce themselves and tell them about themselves. We hope the residents enjoyed reading them.

Reception- Snow White

Our Reception class have had a very busy day. After performing in their very own Nativity, we went to watch Snow White at Blackburn Empire Theatre. We loved shouting at the wicked witch and we loved cheering and dancing. The children all had a brilliant time and enjoyed eating an ice lolly at the interval too, what a treat!

Year 5 - Snow White

The children had a great time at Blackburn Empire Theatre watching the pantomime Snow White. The children enjoyed every minute as they heckled the evil queen Horibella, celebrated the love of Prince Charming and Snow White and tried in vain to warn Tilly that there was a ghost behind her. They sang and danced along to every song and during the intermission, the children had an ice lolly.

Year 1: Fun at the Snow White Pantomime

Year 1 had such a great time at Snow White. The ice lollies were especially good! They all joined in really well and were so sensible travelling to and from the theatre. I am so proud of their behaviour today.

Reception Nativity 2025

We want to express how incredibly proud we are of all the children in Reception class for their truly amazing performance in their Nativity play! The children showed such courage and confidence on the stage. We were so impressed with: Brave Speaking: Every child who had lines delivered them so clearly. Enthusiastic Singing and actions: Their little voices filled the hall, making the performance joyful and bright and we were so impressed with the amount of words they had to learn in the songs. It takes great bravery to stand up in front of a big audience, and they all shone! It was a very special occasion, and they brought the Christmas story to life beautifully. Thank you so much for your support in preparing them for the show and for your active participation in the show. A huge thank you to our Reception staff team for the time and effort they have put into the production, Mr Ashworth, our CEO of Cidari Multi Academy Trust for his support, Mr Bloomfield for filming and Rev Ben for leading us in prayer.
