It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Every child in school helped to decorate the Christmas tree yesterday. This morning in Worship, Iris, our youngest child in school got to put the star on top of the Christmas tree. It certainly is starting to look, feel and sound like Christmas at St Barnabas.
Explanation Texts - How is a circuit made?
In our English lesson today, we looked at how we can explain how a circuit can be made. We used conjunctions to create sentences with subordinate clauses, thinking about use of commas and technical language.
Another fabulous day making our seasonal stockings

FOSB Christmas Gift Shop

It will be £5 and with this they will be able to purchase 2 gifts. The presents will be wrapped with a gift tag so it will be a surprise for whoever they have chosen to buy a present for. Money can only be paid on parent pay and you have until Friday 10th December to purchase a ticket to enter the gift shop. The gift shop will be held on Thursday 16th December.

We Did It! Year 5
Congratulations! Year 5 have completed a six week programme with ‘Move and Learn’. The coaches were overwhelmed with their passion and dedication to the classroom, outdoor sessions and homework. They have learnt about what physical activity is, the benefits of moving and how you can keep hydrated and have a balanced and varied diet. We are super, super proud of them!
Tik Tok
There have been a few children who have been upset with communication on Tik Tok. Please find advice on this. You should be at least 13 to use this app.
Year 1 RE- Giving to others
As part of their RE unit, Year 1 have been making their calendars in the independent creative area. Tomorrow they will be taking these home and gifting them to their families. Next week, we will be reflecting on how this act of giving has made us and our families feel. Additionally, we are now in December so we have had some kindness elves visit our classroom. Everyday, the kindness elves are leaving a gift to add to a hamper. In the last week of school, we will gift this hamper to our local refugees in the hope that it will make them smile and bring them some comfort over the Christmas period. Again, we will reflect on how this act of giving has made both us and those who receive it feel.
