We are almost ready to create our Egyptian style scrolls in Year 3. In our most recent art lesson we have been learning about how ancient Egyptians used papyrus layered in vertical and horizontal strips to create paper. We used a range of different types of paper, torn or cut into strips and dipped in PVA solution, and layered them to create our own paper. We can’t wait to draw our designs onto our paper in our final art lessons of this unit. The children have truly loved this topic!
