What a fantastic start to our brand-new Key Stage 2 Keep Fit Club! Our very first session was an absolute blast, filled with high energy, fresh air, and a whole lot of determination from our amazing pupils. We kicked things off by heading out along Jack Keys, where the children showed brilliant stamina as they paced themselves, walking and running along while encouraging one another every step of the way. It was lovely to see children from different year groups chatting and Mrs Wilkinson loved spending time with them all.
The absolute highlight of our outdoor trek had to be the tree swing, which provided a wonderful opportunity for a few personal challenges. A huge shoutout goes to the children who stepped right outside their comfort zones and truly "found their brave" to take a turn—the proud smiles on their faces as they soared through the air said it all.
To wrap up a brilliant session, we headed back to school for some well-deserved free-choice active time. The children wrapped up the session by playing a variety of fast-paced ball games on the MUGA, showing off fantastic teamwork, while others loved testing out their strength and coordination on the outdoor gym equipment. We are incredibly proud of the effort, manners, and sportsmanship everyone brought to our first club, and we already can't wait for next week's adventure! Remember to bring your trainers!
