Year 1 recently completed an engaging English unit where they focused on creating and writing riddles. To connect this with our maths lessons on recognising coins, we merged our learning by writing riddles specifically about coins. The children really enjoyed sharing their riddles with the class and having their classmates guess which coin they were describing.
