This afternoon in R.E, Year 5 started the lesson by having a discussion about the word ‘victory’. What comes to mind when they hear and read the word? Are winning and victory the same thing?
We then looked at Greatest Sports Moments and talked about many athletes hope to win, but they also strive to beat their personal best and so, even if they come last, if it is their personal best, they have been victorious.
