Goodbye Rev David and Lorraine
On behalf of our whole school family, I’d like to say a huge thank you, best wishes and goodbye to Rev David and Lorraine, who are retiring this week. They have given so much amazing support to our school over the years and have brightened up the darkest of days during the pandemic with their online services and attending our zoom worships. Celebration Worship
A huge well done to everyone who received an award in our Celebration Worship today. It was wonderful to see and hear from your class teachers the different ways you have been living life in all its fullness this week. Mr Beaumont also reflected on our Worships about recycling over the week and how we need to care for our beautiful planet that God so lovingly created.
It's Recycle Week!
This morning in Worship we listened to a rhyming Bible story about how God created our world and wants us to care for it. We then learnt all about recycling with Mrs Ham and her team of human recycling bins. We had to sort all of her rubbish into the different recycling bins. We reflected on the rubbish that we throw away and how we can care for our World by reducing, reusing and recycling. We finished by praying and singing 'This is God's world, let's try to make it a better place'.
Grow your mindset assembly and workshops
We had an amazing assembly about growth and fixed mindsets, complete with a huge inflatable brain from Liz and Gemma at Grow Your Mindset. They have been working with all of our teaching team in staff training to develop their growth mindsets and now it was turn of our children.
Refugees- Warm Welcome Worship
Today in Worship we learnt about the situation in Afghanistan and how there are many refugees fleeing from there to the UK. We reflected on how we can give refugees a warm welcome and help them to settle into our community. We were so impressed with how well our children showed our Christian values of friendship, service and respect when sharing how they would welcome and help refugees.
Disability Day Worship
In class Worships we learnt about disability day and how everyone can achieve great things if you are determined and believe that anything is possible.
Songs of Praise Worship
It was so fantastic to be all together singing again as a school family.
Olympic and Paralympic Values Worship
Today we learnt about Olympic and Paralympic values today in Worship. We noticed that some of the values were the same as our Christian Values- courage, respect and friendship. We learnt that with determination. courage and perseverance we all have the ability to achieve great things.
Our first whole school Worship in the hall after 18 months!
We loved being back together again as a school family in our hall for our welcome back Worship.
