Today in Maths, Year 2 were flexibly partitioning numbers to 100. We started with the most basic method, splitting numbers into tens and ones. We then increased the challenge by moving a ten from the first part to the second each time, exploring different ways to partition the same number.
We used Base 10 equipment to support our understanding and make our thinking visible.
