The Anderton Centre - Paddle Boarding
So we woke up to completely different weather this morning! The sun was beaming and after we had a delicious full English breakfast we descended on the lake to take part in XL paddle boarding. The children paddled for miles, played games and even managed ‘ Body Part Bingo’. We had a few slip ups and a few of the children ended up in the water. What a great way to finish our residential to The Anderton Centre. Big thanks to Mrs Araujo, Mrs Gardner and Mrs Singleton for their support and also to the parents, carers and children .
Team Araujo - Team Building
The 'A' Team had a great team-building session at the Anderton Centre. Our team won the girls' "trashion" show and then we split into 2 teams to do some problem solving.
Year 4 - Anderton Centre - Dinner Time!
By tea time, we were all starving and ready for some good food. Bangers and mash or Carbonara were on the menu, followed by waffles and fruit for dessert. Yum!
Bushcraft at The Anderton Centre
This evening Year 4 took part in bushcraft activities. We learnt how to light a fire using flint and then toasted marshmallows. The children loved learning new skills and spending some quality time with their peers. It was a lovely way to finish the day.
Snow White Pantomime
The children had a brilliant time today at Blackburn Empire Theatre. The whole school watched Snow White. It was wonderful to see their faces light up, Christmas is in full swing at St Barnabas! Reception- Snow White
Our Reception class have had a very busy day. After performing in their very own Nativity, we went to watch Snow White at Blackburn Empire Theatre. We loved shouting at the wicked witch and we loved cheering and dancing. The children all had a brilliant time and enjoyed eating an ice lolly at the interval too, what a treat!
Year 4 - Snow White
The Year 4s thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the Empire Theatre in Blackburn. Along with the rest of our school, we went to watch this year’s pantomime, Snow White. The excitement was building as we boarded our coach. And the fun didn’t stop the entire time we were there. The children’s highlights seemed to be singing along to K-Pop songs, shouting “6, 7” and being squirted by water pistols. There was plenty of dancing and audience participation - all the things our lively Year 4 class love. What a fantastic afternoon out!
