Year 3/4 Christmas Party
We’ve had a fab time this afternoon at our Year 3/4 Christmas Party. We played so many games including musical bumps, corners and pass the parcel. A big thank you to Mrs Ham for letting us visit’ Santa’s Grotto’ to choose a little gift too. Merry Christmas everyone

Design and Technology- Christmas Fair
In D.T this term, the whole school have worked their absolute socks off. The children have made wooden reindeer ornaments, festive fruit kebabs with choc drizzle and marshmallows, fire engines, photo frames, festive sausage rolls, seasonal stockings and Christmas themed cushions. The children then had the opportunity to purchase their products at our school Christmas fair.

Year 4 - Christmas Cards
Year 4 have been creating Christmas cards this week, and they’ve gone for a bit of humour. Look out for the Christmas cracker-style jokes coming home in school bags.
Year 4 - Hanukkah
To finish our Christmas RE unit, Year 4 learned about the Jewish festival of light called Hanukkah. They discovered the miracle of the menorah candle and the significance of light, and they made their own dreidels and used them to play the game.
Year 4 Tooth Decay Investigation
Science was very interesting this week. Year 4 set up an experiment to test how different liquids affect our teeth, except that we used eggs to represent teeth. After a 5-day soak in either water, cola, black currant juice, orange juice, sports drink or vinegar, the egg shells were examined and cleaned with a toothbrush and toothpaste. The children then observed the changes to the eggs and drew conclusions about how certain liquids may affect our teeth.
Year 4 DT - Seasonal Stockings - Part 2
Wowsers- we have had such a productive morning in Year 4 finishing off our ‘ Seasonal Stockings’ . The children have worked so hard developing their different types of stitches. We also managed to embellish them with buttons, ribbon and felt. We can’t wait to show the parents and carers at our Christmas Fair!

Celebration Worship
In Celebration Worship this morning we looked at how our children continue to work so very hard in promoting our Christian and British values. We are all so very busy preparing for the Christmas Fair, school performances and Christmas Worship. We had our House Team Winners announced for this half term - Whitehall Park for the second consecutive time- well done. It is so lovely to see all of the children celebrating each others success as we had lots of awards for out of school sports today.
Year 4 - Publishing our Writing
This week in English, Year 4 have been publishing their writing using Google Docs and they’ve loved it. It’s wonderful to see everyone taking such pride in their work.
Year 4 - Balance and Strength on Apparatus
Year 4 loved having the opportunity to practise their gymnastics on the apparatus this week in PE.
