Year 4 RE: Research Using QR Codes
Year 4 have had great fun using QR codes in their RE research this week. They have been finding out about people who stand up to authority to protect our world and the people in it.
Year 4 take on the MUGA
Year 4 had their first PE session in the MUGA this week and, wow, were they excited?! Once they’d calmed down they showed some excellent netball skills, building on from their work last week.
Year 5 - English
Year 5 hard at work, on a persuasive writing piece. Did you know that by 2020 the number of plastics in the sea will be higher than the number of fish? We strongly believe that is up to us as individuals to do something about the usage of plastic. Reuse, Recycle, Reduce and Rethink!
Year 5 - Guided Reading
Over the past few weeks, Year 5 have been working extremely hard during their guided reading sessions. We have explored a variety of text ranging from non- fiction, adventure and mystery.
Dazzling drama in Year 3
Year 3 had great fun this Wellbeing Wednesday, learning all about spatial awareness in performing arts with Miss Anderton from Junior Jam. We love Wellbeing Wednesdays!
Identifying faults in circuits
In year 6, we have learnt how to check connections of circuits. We have discussed about the flow of electricity and how it’s important to ensure that the flow of electricity can go from component to component.
First MUGA session in PE
Today, we have used the MUGA for the first time during PE. We were able to complete tactically difficult decisions and apply these to in game situations during netball.
Year 5- Geography
This term in Geography, Year 5 have been learning about Greece in context to its position with Europe, identifying regions within a country and Greece’s climate zone. This afternoon, we used digi maps to check what human and physical features are on a map of Greece.
Year 2 3D Clay Modelling!
This term in Art, Year 2 have been learning about observational art. Last week, the class designed their own tower and on Friday, the class used their designs to create a 3D clay model tower!
Year 2 Sports on the new MUGA!
Year 2 had the excitement of being the first class to use our new outdoor MUGA at lunchtime today! We cannot wait to use the MUGA for more outdoor sports and active learning in the future!
Year 6 Pilgrimage
In year 6, we have been learning about the pilgrimage of Hajj in Islam. The children have learnt about how and why Muslims go on Hajj and been extremely respectful when broaching this subject.
Thankful for Harvest!
We started our harvest celebrations today learning about where our breakfast comes from and reflecting on what we are thankful for. We thought about how we could show our Christian values of generosity, service and friendship this Harvest by sharing what we have with others. The children have chosen to donate packets and tinned food for our local food bank and toiletries for refugees who have recently joined our community.
