Today, Year 1 had an enjoyable meeting with Mr Carter, who will be their Year 2 teacher starting in November. They participated in a fun afternoon of transition activities, allowing Mr Carter to get to know each of them. The children particularly enjoyed listening to the story 'All the Ways to be Smart' by Davina Bell, which prompted a valuable discussion about what makes each of them smart and unique. Following this, Mr Carter challenged their creative talents by asking them to transform 'a dot' into a beautiful piece of artwork, inspired by Peter Reynolds' book, 'The Dot'.
