Today, Year 1 had their class worship on St Patrick’s Day. They watched a video about St Patrick bringing his Christian faith to Ireland by spreading the word of God. We learnt about how the people of Ireland are very thankful for this which is why they have a day in celebration of Him. We learnt that there are lots of parades, singing and dancing on St Patrick’s day and we also learnt that the shamrock in a symbol of Ireland.
Lastly, we heard an Irish blessing which was really beautiful and reminded us to take the positives in our lives and be grateful for them. Lots of the children shared positives about their day such as making a big house with a friend, learning a new skill at play time and seeing their teachers.
